Sadly, this year marks my last year as a teacher with my current employer. I know with the current state of the economy this is a scary time to be jobless for the next school year, however I am very optimistic that there is something else out there for me. I absolutely love teaching, however am thinking I would like to find a job with more balance between time in the classroom and time training. Ideally I would love to be a tech coordinator part time and teacher part time. I am not just limiting myself to a job search in the classroom however. I also might begin looking at corporate training. Since I have not had to find a job in the corporate world, I decided to look up a youtube video on job search tips. Below is an excellent short video from a representative of Monster.com.

If you want any help with looking at the business world I just successfully transitioned from my original career of being a public school teacher to working in corporate training as an instructional designer and I'd be more than happy to pass on the bit of knowledge I picked up along the way.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is a tough time to be looking for a job. You have a great attitude, though. Onward and upward.
